States and Private Colleges Should Establish Closer Ties; Also Urges More Assistance to Private Colleges
Seattle, Washington -- Too many states are squandering an important resource by not devoting enough money or attention to their private colleges, a new report concludes.
The report warns that unless governments re-orient their policies -- especially those affecting student aid -- the diversity that those 1,600 private colleges add to the nation's higher-education system could be at risk.
