The Department of History at The City College of New York seeks a tenure-track assistant professor of the history of the Islamic world. While the geographical and period specializations are open, the department is particularly interested in candidates with teaching interests in African history, whose research goes beyond traditional national and regional histories and complements the department's existing offerings. Applicants must possess a PhD in History, show evidence of scholarly promise, and demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and service. Compensation: $64,596 - $76,395. EO/AA Employer.
